Alumni Success Stories

Wayland alumni have made a positive impact in a variety of career, volunteer and organizational opportunities throughout the world. These are just a few of their stories.

Matthew Evans, BA in Religion:

Matthew Evans earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religion with an emphasis on missions in 2014. Shortly afterward, he headed to South Brazil on a mission trip to do college ministry through the International Mission Board.

Eric Kaiser, BA in Religion:

From the start, Eric Kaiser knew Wayland Baptist University was a perfect fit for his call to the ministry. Even when he had the opportunity to attend a state school his first year for free, the New Mexico native declined, knowing he wanted a full four years at Wayland.

LeAudra Franklin, BA in Religion & Religious Education:

LeAudra Franklin graduated with a double major in Religion and Religious Education from Wayland Baptist University in 2005. She's currently the Associate Pastor of Children's Ministries at Grace Point Church in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Chase Aycock, BA in Religion and Psychology:

Chase Aycock, a 2012 graduate, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Religion from Wayland, a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College, and is projected to earn a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology also from Wheaton College in 2017.

Aaron Groff, BS in Psychology & Master of Christian Ministry:

Aaron Groff earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Wayland in 1998 and later earned a Master of Christian Ministry degree in 2009.
