At Wayland, you will find faculty and staff committed to your spiritual formation. The Office of Spiritual Life will provide the resources to help you grow closer to God while pursuing your education.
We use a three-fold spiritual formation model (being, knowing and doing) to provide a measure of flexibility while keeping our work center on Christ.
- Being: Each person is made in the image of God and is thus created for a relationship with God and others.
- Knowing: Knowing who we are in Jesus Christ leads us to engage our minds in learning.
- Doing: Genuine knowledge and belief will be manifested in the lifestyle and purposeful actions of a Christian.
The mission of the Office of Spiritual Life is to reveal the glory of God and His kingdom (proclamation, evangelism, worship), to enjoy and embody the love of Christ (character, lifestyle, outreach, service), and to nurture missional living (calling, gifts, leadership, reconciliation) in students, staff and faculty.
