Sigma Tau Delta

Sigma Tau Delta, founded in 1924, is an international English Honor Society dedicated to promoting literacy and all aspects of the discipline of English. The Eta Theta Chapter at Wayland Baptist University has been recognized for over 55 years of service. Our members enjoy many benefits and opportunities, including:

 • A variety of scholarships valued as high as $5,000

 • Internships in different U.S. locations

 • Participation at national conferences with creative and scholarly works

 • Publication opportunities and awards for creative and scholarly works

 • Monthly meetings and regular social events, such as our annual Halloween Costume Party

Students receive an invitation to membership in Sigma Tau Delta and the group meets every second Thursday of the month.
