On academic rigor

“The professors I've had instruct my courses have been of a high calibre with high expectations and this has further improved my critical thinking, writing, and communication skills.”

On the quality faculty

“I have been here for two semesters now and the faculty members I have had instructing my classes have all been approachable and have challenged me intellectually.”

On the Wayland family

“Having a small campus has its perks. I have had the opportunity to connect with people from various backgrounds on a personal level and it has been these relationships that have made studying in a small town thousands of miles away from home a little easier. Everyone I have met from the admissions office, the financial aid office, and the athletic department has been approachable and gone beyond the call of duty to ensure that my experience here is a pleasant one.”

On experiential learning

“Having people of different nationalities on campus has allowed me to learn about their culture, language, and way of living.”

On finding your excellence

“I've been blessed with driven and hardworking parents who constantly encourage me to do all I can to maximize my potential.”
