Well-versed and Well-equipped
Class of 2011
Alexis Hall, daughter of current Wayland president Bobby Hall, is also a 2011 graduate from the Wayland School of Music with a bachelor’s in Vocal Performance. Hall is currently a Certified Level 1 teacher with Music Together, an early childhood music and movement program for families in New York, New York, and pursuing a Master’s in Education from WBU.
“I hope to continue teaching and get back into children’s ministry again,” Hall said. “I started out as a children’s minister at 1st Methodist Church in Plainview.”
Hall also added that her time at Wayland helped give her the foundation she needed for her current position.
“At the Academy of Fine Arts we had a Music Together program and I was able to start my own in Plainview so that helped me to move up to the position I have in New York,” said Hall. “I believe in Christian liberal arts and that it’s important to be well-versed in different areas. I feel very equipped to be a part of what I’m doing now.”
Hall’s favorite memory of Wayland was being able to go to Hong Kong with the International Choir.
