Student Family Housing

Wayland Baptist University offers Student Family Housing for eligible students who are married or parenting while pursuing their education. 

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for Student Family Housing, students must:

  • Be enrolled in at least 12 semester credit hours at Wayland Baptist University
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and remain in good standing with the university
  • Be married at the time of occupancy, or
  • Be a single parent residing with a child

Required Documentation

Applicants must provide supporting documentation through the application process, including proof of:

  • Legal marriage, and/or
  • Legal custody of a minor child or children

Housing Information

  • All units are unfurnished
  • Unit details and availability are provided to qualified applicants through the application process
  • Due to limited availability, all applicants are placed on a waiting list
  • Assignments are made based on availability and university guidelines

Laundry Facilities

Laundry facilities are available in each Student Family Housing building and are reserved for resident use only.

Laundry is app-based, meaning quarters are not required. Student Family Housing residents pay a per-use fee for each wash-and-dry cycle.

Instructions for downloading and using the laundry app are shared with residents at the beginning of each 16-week term and are also posted in laundry rooms.
