Counseling Services On Campus

Campus Services:

Counseling Services is dedicated to providing the best possible mental health services to Wayland Baptist University. We provide individual counseling services to students with personal/social concerns or academic/career concerns. There may also be opportunities for group counseling. The office is managed by a full-time licensed professional counselor, and there is no cost for these services if you are currently enrolled at Wayland Baptist University.

Counseling services assist Wayland students in resolving their own everyday problems and stresses. We provide a secure, confidential environment where students are able to experience growth and healing by learning and practicing healthy and appropriate problem-solving skills. We believe that as you and your counselor work together to address your concerns, you will develop a sense of self-awareness that will influence your behavior and feelings.

Our counseling services are confidential, and visits are never reported on an academic transcript or in a placement file. When appropriate, the counselor can refer students to other specialized counseling services available in the surrounding area.
