We can help Virginia College students

Wayland offers our assistance to those students affected by the recent closing of the Virginia College Lubbock campus. We know you are disappointed and concerned about your future. We understand how much you have already invested in your education and we encourage you to stay the course. Our goal is to help you complete your degree as seamlessly and efficiently as possible. As a regionally accredited, non-profit, higher education institution started in 1908, we know how to achieve that goal.

We extend an invitation to all previous Virginia College students to apply to WBU free of charge.  We have several degree options that may fit your needs. However, our Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) degree is specifically designed to accept the maximum amount of transfer hours you may have already earned. We also award up to twelve upper-level credit hours for qualified work experience – which may help shorten your time to degree completion. With a campus located in Lubbock, as well as all B.A.S. degree options available fully online, you'll have no problem accessing whatever coursework you need to graduate.

Please don't give up on higher education - and don't give up on yourself.  Whether you join our Wayland family or land somewhere else, please know that we wish you the best!
