WBU Encouraging Students to Sign Up for PEP
PLAINVIEW – Wayland Baptist University is encouraging high school students to register for the Plainview Education Partnership (PEP) tuition assistance program. PEP contracts are due in the Wayland Admission Office by Oct. 13.
Juniors at Plainview High School, Plainview Christian High School, and homeschool students residing in Plainview are eligible to enroll in the program that provides tuition assistance for the first two semesters at Wayland immediately following their high school graduation. High school juniors enrolling in the PEP program this fall will be eligible to receive tuition assistance during the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters.
Students enrolling in the PEP program must maintain at least a B average and 95% attendance rate during their junior and senior years in high school. The PEP tuition assistance can be used for tuition only. Students must be enrolled full-time at Wayland and must maintain at least a C average in their college classes.
Once the contract is submitted, students will be required to take either the SAT or the ACT by the end of February during their senior year and have those scores sent to the WBU Admission Office. As seniors, students will also be required to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and a WBU Financial Aid form by June 30, following their high school graduation. It is best to submit those forms in February or March prior to graduation.
Students who complete all requirements will receive tuition assistance for up to 15 hours per semester. For more information, contact the Wayland Admission Office at 806-291-3500, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
