Wayland named a top college for adult students

PLAINVIEW – Wayland Baptist University has been recognized by Best College Reviews as being one of the Top 50 Colleges for Adult Education. Wayland is ranked No. 17 on the list that can be found at http://www.bestcollegereviews.org/.

According to Best College Reviews, the ranking is based on what adults are looking for in a college including flexibility, transfer options, online classes and acceptance rate. This particular rating also looked at the percentage of students enrolled over the age of 25. Approximately 70 percent of WBU students throughout the system are over the age of 25.

Wayland was recognized in large part for its online learning options. Many degrees are available fully online with other courses offered in a hybrid format that optimizes both online and face-to-face learning. The report states: “These flexible options are the perfect match for the adult learner who has the needs of work and home competing with their ability to earn a degree; adults will benefit from the personal experience the faculty and staff provide, along with the chance to finish a degree at their own pace on their own time.”
