Wayland offering writing workshop for teens
May 14, 2015
PLAINVIEW – Wayland Baptist University is giving local teenagers a chance to improve their writing skills by attending a three-day writing camp June 4-6.
Hosted by the School of Languages and Literature, the camp will run from 9 a.m. – 4p.m. each day for teenagers ages 14-18. Lunch will be provided each day. The cost is $45 for those registered by June 1, or $50 thereafter. Registration and sessions will be held on the second floor of Gates Hall.
Students will participate in sessions on creative writing, horror, literature, technical writing and film. Sessions are designed to help students become better writers, smarter readers and more informed moviegoers. The camp will also provide teens with a glimpse of college life, a chance to improve English skills, and the opportunity to learn more about some of their favorite topics.
