Wayland offers community writing class

PLAINVIEW – Wayland Baptist University will once again offer a Community Creative Writing Class for individuals interested in creative writing. Taught by Dr. Ashley Faulkner, assistant professor of English, the class will offer constructive criticism on original writings.
Faulkner said the class is open to writers of fiction, poetry and nonfiction. Writers will perform their work on a special reading evening and receive guidance on publishing agents and making money from their work.
The class will meet on alternating Monday and Thursday nights. The first meeting will be held Monday, Sept. 19, with the next meeting set for Thursday, Sept. 29. The classes will be held from 3-4:15 in Gates Hall room 205.
