LUBBOCK – The Lubbock campus of Wayland Baptist University will once again host its annual golf tournament to gather funds for future student scholarships.

The annual Lubbock Lights Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, Sept. 28 at the Hillcrest Country Club. The event takes on a four-person scramble format with a shotgun start, with tee-off times at either 8 a.m. or 1 p.m.

Lunch will be served at noon for all participants, and the event will include contests for putting, longest drive and closest to the pin. Participants also receive a gift bag, a bucket of driving range balls and a cart.

Individual registration is $125 per person or $750 for a four-person team, which includes a company sponsorship sign on the tee box. All proceeds from the event go to an endowed scholarship that provides annual funds for adult students seeking their college degree at the Lubbock campus.

Xcel Energy and C&B Services are serving as event sponsors, with many other businesses supporting as hole or team sponsors.
