Academic achievement offering summer courses

PLAINVIEW – Two courses will be offered during the summer in the Academic Achievement program at Wayland Baptist University. With special half-price tuition and three-week terms, summer courses offer students a chance to earn credits conveniently and quickly.
During Summer II term, June 23 through July 11, Elementary Algebra will be offered Monday through Friday from 6:30-9:30 p.m. The course provides instruction for students scoring 15 or lower on the ACT math portion or 410 or lower on SAT math, preparing them for the required College Algebra course.
For Summer III term, Writing II will be offered July 14 through Aug. 1, also Monday through Friday, 6:30-9:30 p.m. The course prepares students with ACT English scores of 16 or below or SAT writing of 400 or below for the basic English writing courses required for all undergraduate degrees.
Tuition is $178 per credit hour for Summer I and II classes and $190 per credit hour for Summer III. Registration can be done in advance or on the first day of class.
