Honor societies add to rolls at Wayland

PLAINVIEW – The Alpha Chi National Honor Society and the Psi Chi National Honor Society inducted new members recently from Wayland Baptist University.

Alpha Chi invites the top 10 percent of the junior and senior classes for membership annually, with graduate students recently being allowed to join as well. New inductees from Wayland include April Morgan, a senior from Muleshoe, and graduate students Patrick Aland, Jennifer Andress, Krysta Cecil, Patricia Coleman, Jessica Crabb, Kathy Givens, Micah Marble, Hailey Post, Sarah Sorensen, Amber Sutton and Raquel Whitehead.

Phi Chi is an honor society specifically for students majoring or minoring in psychology who maintain a 3.5 grade point average. Graduate students are also now allowed in the society. New inductees included Rachel Gwin, a senior from League City, and graduate students Miranda Avery, Jonathan Barnes, Jessica Crabb, Tara Fox, Laurie Johnson, Rachelle Keefer, Micah Marble, Angela Martin, Hailey Post, Pete Ramos, Stacy Rocha, Karla Stovall and Raquel Whitehead. The newly inducted graduate students are all enrolled in the Master of Arts in Counseling program through the School of Behavioral and Social Sciences.
