Mosteller to present faculty recital on clarinet

Dr. Sandra Mosteller, assistant professor of music at Wayland Baptist University, will perform a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, in Harral Memorial Auditorium.

Mosteller will perform on both the clarinet and alto saxophone. Dr. Gary Belshaw, assistant professor of piano pedagogy, will accompany Mosteller on the piano as she performs Duo for Clarinet and Piano by Norbert Burgmuller. Mosteller will then perform Meditations, a piece written for a demi-clarinet by William O. Smith. The demi-clarinet is an instrument comprised of only the mouthpiece, lower joint and bell of a regular clarinet.

After a brief pause, Mosteller will return with two pieces for the alto sax. Dr. Belshaw will accompany her on A Ruckert Song by Gustav Mahler and Scaramouche by Darius Milhaud.

Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
