Betenbough Foundation donates funds for scholarships

LUBBOCK - The Betenbough Charitable Foundation, Inc. has donated $50,000 to the Wayland Baptist University campus in Lubbock for scholarships. The funds are designated for students working toward a career in ministry or related fields.

The scholarships are available as early as the summer term for students who meet the requirements designated by the Betenbough Foundation. Students may receive up to $2,500 per year, must have a financial need to complete their education, and must maintain a 2.5 grade point average. Students of all religious denominations are encouraged to apply and no denomination receives preference for the scholarships.

The Betenbough Foundation's mission is to "best use our first fruits to promote the kingdom of God." The foundation partners with members of the Body of Christ who are working together to advance the kingdom.
