Chaddick received honor from alma mater

Wayland Baptist University presented Borger resident Chad Chaddick with the Distinguished Young Alumni Award during its Homecoming festivities Nov. 15.

A 1995 graduate of WBU, Chaddick holds the Master of Divinity Award from Truett Theological Seminary, where he was named the Outstanding Academic Student for the spring of 1998. A native of Clovis, NM, he is currently pastor at Fairlanes Baptist Church in Borger.

Prior to that, Chaddick was minister of education at First Baptist Church in Claxton, Ga., and youth minister at First Baptist Church in Rosebud. He also served a five-month internship at the International Baptist Church in Brussels, Belgium in 1997.

While at Wayland, Chaddick served as pastor at Wayside Community Church and did summer youth work at churches in Borger, Gooding, Idaho, and Clovis. He is a founding member of the Ministerial Fellowship of the Borger Area and the Borger Noon Lions Club. He has also served on associational and state church committees.
