PLAINVIEW — The artistry of music will be on display Tuesday night as Wayland Baptist University presents “Kaleidoscope”, a concert featuring WBU choirs as well as other artists.
The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the atrium of the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Learning Resources Center on Wayland’s Plainview campus.
The concert will include artistic offerings from both International Choir and Wayland Singers, as well as members of the Wayland faculty family, according to Dr. Sarah Herrington, Assistant Professor of Music Education and Director of Choral Studies. The Malouf Abraham Family Art Center will be open for concert attendees to visit as well, she noted.
“Our concert is titled Kaleidoscope to represent and celebrate many perspectives on art,” Herrington said. “It will include the choral performance along with visual art in the atrium and in the Abraham Art Gallery, poetry readings, and musical offerings of original compositions and on classical guitar.”
The director of choral studies said those who attend the concert can expect an atmosphere “full of joy and hope conveyed through each element of artistic offering.”
“Kaleidoscope” is free and open to the public.
