Dr. Anthony T. Strange, Associate Professor Business Administration and Associate Professor, Education for Wayland Baptist University (July 1997 to Present). He earned a Associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force in 1992, a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science from Chapman University in 1983, a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Chapman University in 1984, Master of Arts degree in public administration from University of La Verne in 1989 and his Doctorate in Education from University of Southern California in 1999.

Dr. Strange (CMSgt Retired) served on active duty in the Air Force from August 1974 to September 1997. He was an honor graduate of basic military training in December 1974. Promoted below the zone to Senior Airman and selected4789 ABG Outstanding Airman of the Year in 1977. His assignments included, Hancock Field, New York, Peterson AFB, Colorado, USAF Academy, Colorado, March AFB, California, and Osan AB, Korea. Chief Strange arrived at Eielson AFB in November 1986. He was assigned to the 25th Tactical Air Support Squadron as NCOIC, Squadron Operations. In September 1987, he moved to the 343 Wing (later the 354th) and served as Superintendent, Operations and Training and Flight Management Officer. In March 1990, he was selected to be Chief, Airspace management and in 1991 Supt, Current Operations, Training and Scheduling Flight. During this time, the chief was selected NCO and SNCO of Quarter, Outstanding Operations Resource Manager of the year. Selected 11 AF and PACAF’s Outstanding Operations Resource Management SNCO of year in 1992. In 1993 he was selected for promotion to Chief Master Sergeant and reassigned to HQPACAF as Chief, Operations Resource Management and Functional Manager for 1C0X2 career field.

Dr. Strange is married to the former Edwina R. McVoy of Paducah Kentucky. They have three children: Anthony II, Joy and Ericka.
