Alaska Student Chapters

The Anchorage SHRM chapter promotes the purposes of SHRM by providing a structure for SHRM members in the State of Alaska to consult together concerning the affairs, needs, activities, and problems of SHRM in the State and to adopt programs that will promote the progress and welfare of SHRM and the HR profession as a whole.

SHRM - Society for Human Resource Management

HR Certification Institute

The HR Certification Institute offers a comprehensive portfolio of advanced professional credentials for HR professionals worldwide. Through the combination of formal education and experience, adherence to high ethical standards, demonstrated knowledge and achievement through exam and a renewed commitment to continuing professional development, HR professionals certified by the HR Certification Institute enhance their credibility and the organizations they serve.

SHRM Foundation

The SHRM Foundation helps predict where the workforce is headed because they have been studying its evolution for over 40 years. The SHRM Foundation's vision is a world of inspired business leaders implementing the winning combination of employee fulfillment and business success. They offer unmatched workforce knowledge for the benefit of professional workforce leaders with a total focus on studying and reporting the management practices that work. Supporting the SHRM Foundation is a chance to contribute to an ongoing study of the direction of human resources in society. The SHRM Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit affiliate of SHRM.

SHRM Student Programs

The Society for Human Resource Management's Student Program was created in 1965 to promote mutually beneficial interaction between HRM students and practitioners. Since the first chapter was chartered more than 40 years ago, the student program has experienced tremendous growth. The program now includes over 450 affiliated student chapters and more than 15,000 student members.

SHRM Student Awards & Scholarships

The SHRM Foundation offers education scholarships for both graduate and undergraduate students, as well as scholarships to sit for the new Assurance of Learning Assessment.
