International Student Requirements
Follow the steps below to apply for undergraduate admission and submit the academic, financial, and immigration documents Wayland needs to review your application.
Submit Evaluated Transcripts
Academic records completed outside the United States must be evaluated by an approved credential evaluation service.
Common evaluation options
- International Education Evaluations IEE provides credential evaluation and document translation services.
- World Education Services WES evaluates international academic credentials for study in the United States.
- The Evaluation Company Formerly known as SpanTran, this provider offers academic credential evaluation services.
- InCred InCred is required for international students participating in Wayland athletics.
Which evaluation do I need?
- If you only have a high school or secondary school transcript, request a basic evaluation.
- If you have university, college, or other advanced coursework, request a course-by-course evaluation.
Students must provide the original academic record, translation, and completed evaluation. Review the selected provider’s document requirements before placing your order.
Submit Additional Admission Documents
Submit the following documents to complete your admission file and receive full acceptance to Wayland Baptist University.
- Bank Statement or Affidavit: The document must show an available balance and be dated within the last six months. An affidavit must include the bank emblem, account value, and a bank official’s signature.
- English Proficiency Test Result, if required: Submit Duolingo, IELTS, TOEFL iBT, or PTE results. Select Wayland Baptist University as the recipient of your official scores.
- Valid Passport and Visa: Upload a clear copy of your valid passport and, when applicable, your current visa. An expired passport may delay admission processing or the issuance of immigration documents.
Financial Support Documents
Financial support documents outline the estimated cost of attendance and the student’s responsibility for any remaining balance. Wayland will provide these documents during the admission process.
All required documents must be received before Wayland can issue travel or immigration documentation, including an I-20 or consulate letter.
