Hispanic Christian Leadership Scholarship

For Hispanic Baptist Convention of Texas Students

Wayland Baptist University is pleased to offer the WBU Hispanic Christian Leadership Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to help outstanding young Hispanic students continue their education as they prepare for God's call on their life.

This scholarship provides coverage of 100% tuition, on-campus housing, and meals for one first-time Wayland student per year for four years.

Recipients of this scholarship must be active members of a church affiliated with the Hispanic Baptist Convention of Texas or the Baptist General Convention of Texas, or selected by Wayland Baptist University, and follow the recipient guidelines in order to remain eligible for the scholarship. This scholarship is only available to students not currently enrolled at WBU.

 

 

This scholarship is merit and achievement based. If no applicant meets all the minimum requirements, then no scholarship will be awarded.

Scholarship Renewal

• Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Full-time enrollment each Fall/Spring term (12+ hours per term)
• 3.0 CUM GPA
• Adhere to all conduct expectations stipulated in the WBU Student Handbook
• Demonstrate Christ-like characteristics in his/her lifestyle

Failure to adhere to any of the above expectations may result in a loss of the scholarship.
