Dr. David Bishop is the son of a pastor and grew up in small towns throughout west Texas and Oklahoma.

Kassie Lane was born and raised in Plainview. She graduated from Plainview High School in 2007 and was able to be a concurrent student at Wayland while attending high school.

Dr. Charles Starnes, a native of Canyon, spent 27 years on submarines in the United States Navy. After retiring from the Navy in 1996 and returning to his hometown, he "quickly became bored."

Dr. Eric Ash, a 30 year veteran of the United States Air Force, grew up in Gunnison, CO. One of his jobs during this time was President and Commandant of the Community College of the Air Force. It was there that Dr. Ash met Dr. Elane Seebo, Wayland's Vice President for External Campuses.

Dr. Scott Franklin graduated from Canadian High School in 1994 and later graduated from Wayland in 1998 with a double major in Religion and Mathematics. He later attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a Masters in Mathematics in 2000 and a Ph.D. in Mathematics in 2005.

Mayra Herrera-Gonzales is a senior Molecular Biology major from Plainview, TX. Since her sophomore year she's been conducting research that focuses on addictive behaviors.

Major Consuelo Benavides is a senior Justice Administration major from Beeville, TX. She is currently taking online classes and working at the Beeville correctional facility training new cadets and hopes to become a TDCJ director and influence legislation a policy.

Jackson Harbison, a junior Business major from Shallowater, almost didn't become a fourth generation Pioneer.

Peter Jackson Jr. is a senior majoring in Management and minoring in Justice Administration originally from Washington D.C.
