Go to WCONLINEand create an account, if you don’t have one already. Log in and select an appointment
time from the appropriate row (available appointments appear in white, past times
appear in gray, and times when the WC is closed appear in dark blue). Fill out the
information form that pops up when you click on an appointment time. If no window
appears, make sure that your browser is set to allow pop-up windows. For some appointments,
not all of the information fields will be relevant; in those instances, put N/A.
For Online Students (To Retrieve Appointment Comments):
All online tutoring in the Multidisciplinary Writing Center takes places through
file exchanges in your WCONLINE account. Our tutoring does not happen in real time. Instead, a tutor will review
your submission and make comments in the right-hand margin to help guide you through
the revision process. The appointment will happen via file exchange rather than through
a call, chat, or e-mail feature. Once you receive an email that says, “you have successfully
modified an appointment,” please log in to your WCONLINE account, where you will be able to access our comments in an attachment within your
original appointment box. If the day of your originally scheduled appointment is no
longer visible, click on the “Prev Week” button to access your original appointment
box.
Please allow up to 24 hours from the time of your scheduled appointment for a tutor to
respond. After your first appointment, you may make changes and submit the same paper
if you have any additional concerns. After the third review of the same paper, the
Multidisciplinary Writing Center will not accept new submissions for the same Assignment.
For All Students:
If for any reason, you need to cancel an appointment, notify the Multidisciplinary
Writing Center well in advance. A student may only miss three appointments before
their WCONLINE account is locked.
After your first appointment with an assignment, you may make changes and bring the
same paper again if you have any additional concerns. After the third review of the
same paper, the Multidisciplinary Writing Center will not accept new submissions
for the same assignment.
