About this Program

Students studying for a religion degree with a youth ministry specialization will develop skills for assisting and leading youth ministry within the local church.

The religion degree program in youth ministry is designed to help ministerial leaders develop a strong biblical and theological foundation, embracing a Christ-centered worldview. The youth ministry specialization includes added emphasis on relating to youth and their families within a cultural context.

The religion degree requires 39 credit hours of study in a student’s major field and 12 hours in the youth ministry specialization. Students will take courses such as: Youth Ministry in the Church, The Youth Minister, Christian Leadership, and many others.

Requirements

A Bachelor of Arts in Religion: Youth Ministry Specialization requires 124 course hours. A total of 42 hours must be from upper-level courses.
