About this Program

When seeking a religion degree with a pastoral ministry specialization, you will develop skills to assist and lead in pastoral ministry within the local church. Students experience a combination of classroom work and practical application as they develop the ability to serve through pastoral ministry.

This religion degree program is designed to help pastoral leaders develop strong biblical, theological and historical foundations while focusing on spiritual formation and embracing a Christ-centered worldview.

The religion degree requires 39 credit hours of study in a student’s major field and 12 hours in the pastoral ministry specialization. Students take a variety of religion courses such as: Christian Leadership, Preaching, The Christian Ministry, and many others. 

Requirements

A Bachelor of Arts in Religion: Pastoral Ministry Specialization requires 124 course hours. A total of 42 hours must be from upper-level courses.
