About this Program

The only LVN to BSN program in San Antonio, Wayland’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing completion degree offers developed courses for health assessment skills, which students need for success in their chosen field. Admission to the LVN to BSN degree is competitive, as only 20 new students are accepted for both fall and spring terms.

Wayland’s nursing school allows LVN’s to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 6 terms, compared to other schools’ 7-term programs.

Students are required to complete any prerequisite coursework prior to beginning the program. The LVN completion track allows 11 hours of advanced placement credit for prior nursing education, with validation.

Applicants must also complete an application for the LVN to BSN program, as well as the general admissions application.

All students must be cleared by the Texas Board of Nursing before they can be admitted to the nursing program.  (See eligibility requirements in the catalog).
