About this Program

The B.A.S. Computer Science degree prepares graduates for careers as application software designers, software architects and engineers, and system analysts, programmers, and engineers.  This is widely recognized as one of the best career fields, with very high demand.

This degree is designed for non-traditional students and is particularly well-suited for individuals already practicing in the field who need a degree, while still containing mathematical and formal components to ensure students have the formal tools to remain current as technologies and systems change.

Students can earn up to 12 credit hours for qualified work experience when seeking the B.A.S. degree, with additional credit possible for specialized training.


A Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Science requires 124 course hours. The major requires 36 hours, of which 18 are upper level.
