About this Program

A film studies minor will change the way you experience movies. The film studies minor is an interdisciplinary program between the School of Fine Arts, the School of Languages & Literature, and the School of Music. Students will view films through several different lenses: broad introductions to film practices, film production, theatre film adaptations, literary film adaptations, and musical elements of film.

In order to complete the film minor, students must complete 18 hours of topical study.


A student pursing a BA or a BS can minor in Film Studies.  It requires 18 hours of english, mass communications, and theatre courses.
