Auditions

Students interested in pursuing a major or minor in theatre are encouraged to visit our campus, meet our theatre students, see our facilities and watch a show. While here, you may want to audition for scholarships.

If you plan to visit our campus, please complete the online Theatre audition form.  Be sure to make special note of items needed to be emailed or sent by mail.

For Actors:

For Actors: Prepare two highly contrasted monologues of 90 seconds or less in length. The greater the contrast in the material, the more the theatre faculty can see your range and abilities. For example, a modern dramatic piece and a modern comic piece show contrast, but a piece from a Shakespearean tragedy paired with a contemporary comedy shows even more. Our preference is always to see you in person, so we can discuss our program and your potential to study here. Likewise, we will help schedule an audition for you based on your availability to travel. However, we understand that sometimes that is not possible and the submission of your audition can be submitted electronically.
Please send all electronic auditions to:
Dr. Marti Runnels

For all others:

Send us a resume of your theatre experiences if you are unable to schedule a visit to our campus. In that resume, please include all of your work in the theatre (educational, community theatre, professional, etc) and any portfolio work you may be able to copy.
Do not submit anything you need returned!
