About this Program

A minor in education pairs well with any major for students who may plan to teach in a non-state school system, such as a private school, a university, private tutoring, or homeschooling. Students must major in education to become state certified.

An education minor can also equip students with observational experience and a foundational understanding of the education field, should they choose to enter it after graduating.

Requirements

An education minor  is concentration of at least 18 hours in a single discipline (Education). The minor must contain a minimum of six hours of upper-level credit.
