About this Program

The bachelor of applied science in early childhood education will equip students to effectively teach children from an early age. Students will learn the intricacies of dealing with young children in the classroom and how to best communicate with and educate a young audience.

This degree is designed for non-traditional students who may already be working in education. Coursework is offered both face-to-face and online. Students can earn up to 12 credit hours for qualified work experience when seeking the B.A.S. degree, with additional credit possible for specialized training.

Requirements

Students majoring in Early Childhood Development must complete 36 semester hours, of which 18 must be upper-level credit.
