Alumni Success Stories

Wayland alumni have made a positive impact in a variety of career, volunteer and organizational opportunities throughout the world. These are just a few of their stories.

Johnny Terra, BA in Business, MBA:

Joao Marcos "Johnny" Terra earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and an MBA (emphasis in accounting) from Wayland in 2011 and 2012, respectively. He also played Men's Basketball for Wayland and was team captain for two years.

Kelsey Beggs, BBA and MBA:

Kelsey Beggs received her Bachelor of Business Administration with a Specialization in International Management and later a Master of Business Administration, both from Wayland in 2009 and 2011 respectively.

Dr. Chris Taylor, MBA:

After receiving his bachelor of science degree from Texas Tech University, Dr. Chris Taylor chose to pursue graduate education at Wayland where he earned his Master of Arts in Management in 2004. The experience offered Taylor a solid foundation for future academic success despite the trials that came with being a full-time working professional.

Dr. Charlotte Davis, MBA:

Charlotte Davis is an Assistant Professor of Management at Concord University in Athens, WV. Dr. Davis earned her degrees from Wayland, Texas Tech University and the University of Memphis. Her research interests are in the area of expatriate management; employee motivation, culture and HR strategy; immigrant professionals; and grief in the workplace.
