About this Program
Wayland’s minor introduces students to the real-world aspects of social work and social justice through a range of courses. With a focus on how social and cultural forces impact behavior, students seeking a sociology minor study topics such as social inequality, racial and gender issues, rape and human trafficking, and human nature.
Students seeking a sociology minor must take 18 hours of sociology courses, 15 of which must be upper division.
Students pursuing a minor in this field may takes courses like Social Problems, Human Behavior and Social Environment, and Cultural Diversity.
