About this Program
Wayland’s history minor allows students to complement their major of choice and explore the vast and complex world of historical studies. Through Wayland’s minor program, students can choose from a wide array of classes, focusing on different countries and different topic.
The history minor requires 18 hours of coursework, six of which must be upper-level courses.
History minors enjoy the attention of professors in small-sized classes, which encourage discussion while students explore a range of topics. Minors can expect courses like World Civilization and United States history, and other upper-level topics such as Texas history, Medieval European history, environmental history, genealogy, and more.
