SAFETY & SECURITY DISCLOSURE 2006

 

Wayland is concerned about your safety and security. We assure you that we place a high priority on maintaining a safe environment for students, faculty, and staff. We cannot, however guarantee the absolute safety of any particular student. Since safety begins with the individual, you must take the responsibility for your own personal safety.

Crimes should be reported to the campus office during business hours. Crimes may be reported 24 hours a day by calling 911 for emergencies.

Wayland Baptist University prohibits the use of illegal drugs or consumption of alcohol. Wayland Baptist University forbids the possession, use, or distribution of alcohol, illicit drugs, and/or drug paraphernalia by students or employees as a part of any activity of the University. Compliance with these standards of conduct for students, faculty, and staff is mandatory.

Firearms for protection or sport are strictly prohibited at Wayland. Absolutely no weapons may be brought by students onto the campus, except by official law enforcement personnel.
