Noted homeschool choir to perform at Wayland Baptist University

PLAINVIEW – One of the nation’s top homeschool choirs will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, and then sing in chapel at Wayland Baptist University at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17.

              Both events are in Wayland’s Harral Auditorium and are free and open to the public.

              The Reflections Concert Choir began in June 1997 as the Reflections Home School choir with 11 members from the Arlington-Mansfield-Fort Worth area but has grown to more than 100 members under the direction of Craig Armstrong.

              The Early Images Preparatory Choir has another 40-plus members. Accompanists are Jennifer Bielefeldt and Ashley Dean.

              The choir, which features hymn favorites, contemporary Christian arrangements and patriotic music, has sung at many events ranging from political conventions to the Traveling Vietnam Wall Memorial Service to many religious gatherings.

              Their albums, which will be available at the concert and chapel, include “Let Freedom Ring,” “Sing a Song of Christmas,” “Behold the Lamb” and “Press On.”
