past missions--kenya

Wayland Baptist University has had the privilege of operating a program in the east African nation of Kenya for more than ten years. This Kenya Program has awarded certificates and degrees. In January and July 2010 Wayland Mission Center (WMC) Director Rick Shaw led teams to mission work and cross-cultural engagement in areas near Wayland's partner school, Kenya Baptist Theological College. Those areas included Karanjee and Misiri. Other work was done in Ol Tepesi (Maasai Land bomas) and Kakamega (western Kenya). WMC fielded medical teams, children's teams, evangelism teams, and construction teams, and conducted discipleship training events.
