GRADUATE STUDENTS

Prospective graduate students on Active Duty, National Guard or Reserve Military duty status: Wayland Baptist offers eight masterís-level programs in distinct disciplines such as business, religion, counseling, and education. Military Tuition Assistance (TA): Any tuition assistance (TA) or financial aid a student receives, that can be confirmed, will be deducted from the total tuition owed. The student may then use a payment plan of 1/3 payments spread over 2 months for the remaining balance due. Students must pay their prior account balance in full before registering for the next term. The payment table below indicates the amounts that students must pay beyond what TA will pay.

Prospective graduate students who are Former or Retired Service Members: Individuals who have served on active, reserve, or national guard duty, and were discharged or retired, can bring their latest JST (Joint Services Transcript), SMART, AARTS, Coast Guard, or CCAF transcript to be evaluated as well as any other academic transcripts from community colleges, junior colleges, vocational schools or other colleges/universities if applicable. If the JST or CCAF is not available, the student can bring in a DD 295 form that indicates Learning Experiences during military service.

Students who are former or retired military service members may be eligible to receive education benefits from the Office of Veterans' Affairs. To use these benefits toward WBU programs, qualifying documents must be submitted to the campus VA official certifier. They include a copy of the Application for Educational Benefits (VA form 22-1990), a copy of the student's DD-214 (with Honorable discharge), and a copy of the student's Certificate of Eligibility.
