RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Bookstore Coordinator oversees the operations of the Anchorage Bookstore.

SPECIFIC TASKS

AND DUTIES:

1. Order instructor copies and textbooks each term.

2. Notify instructors when book editions change.

3. Produce textbook list.

4. Maintain bookstore (Must be able to lift 40 pounds).

5. Credit and check deposits for bookstore.

6. Inventory and charge backs for books.

7. Supervise textbook sales.

8. Interact with academic counselors re: student files.

9. Assist with book sales during term registration.

10. Fill in for receptionist when absent.

11. Regular hours may include Saturdays.

12. Services as backup Testing Officer for the Testing Center

QUALIFICATIONS:

Academic:

Bachelors Degree is required.

    Experience &  Knowledge:

Successful experience in an office setting showing a degree of administrative responsibility.

Skills & Abilities:

1. Must possess excellent organizational skills.

2. Posses’ strong administrative skills.

3. Ability to juggle multiple tasks is essential.

4. Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the university a must. 

5. Must possess working experience with computers programs such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

6. Must possess good verbal and written skills plus good listening skills.

7. Must be detail-oriented and have good organizational skills.

8.               Ability to understand and interpret personnel policies and procedures.

9.            Ability to prioritize is flexible, and available to work extended hours as needed.

10.          Ability to follow directions and work cooperatively with others.

     Additional Requirements:
Must be able to pass background check which will include Credit Check.
