New Students

Step 1: Apply online at www.wbu.edu for admission to Wayland.

Step 2: Get your Wayland Student ID number from your academic advisor.

Step 3: Go to Student Services and request an IQWeb account. This where you will view your grades, account balance, and register for classes.

New and Returning Students

Step 1: Go to www.FAFSA.ED.GOV and complete your FAFSA Application. Sign it electronically with your FAFSA pin number. (www.pin.ed.gov) The WBU school code of 003663. Wait 72 hours and then go to step #2 below.

Step 2: Call 575-763-0535 and set an appointment with the financial aid advisor. Bring last year's tax return and all W2's (military members must also bring December LES) to your appointment. Do not drop off tax returns or other paperwork without an appointment unless you have made prior arrangements to do so. New students - plan on at least an hour for your financial aid appointment.

Please Note:

Step #2 above is very Important. There are additional forms you must fill out when you meet with the financial aid advisor. If you do not complete these forms you will not receive an award letter. If you do not have an award letter before the term starts you will be required to pay at least 1/3 of your total tuition charges to start classes. The other option is to wait until the next term to start your classes. Books may not be charged to your account unless we have a signed award letter in your file. Award letters will not be issued until you have been granted unconditional admittance into the University as a degree-seeking student or until you have been accepted into the Graduate program. Your financial aid advisor is Lias Kia. If you have questions please call Lisa at 575-763-0535 or email her. You may also find scholarships for which you may qualify at www.fastweb.com.
