AREA STANDOUT SIGNS WITH PIONEER NETTERS
Kimberli Harger, a 5-10 outside hitter from Lubbock’s Cooper High School, has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Wayland Baptist University beginning in the fall. The District 4-3A Most Valuable Player in 2007, Harger helped lead Cooper High to Class AAA Area Championships in both 2006 and 2007.

PIONEERS READY FOR REGION VI TOURNEY
The Pioneers are gearing up for the 2007 NAIA Region VI Volleyball Tournament, which will take place this Friday and Saturday at Rip Griffin Center on the campus of Lubbock Christian University.
The WBU women are headed to the eight-team tournament as the sixth seed with a 23-16 overall record. They will take on third-seeded Texas Wesleyan University of the Red River Athletic Conference on Friday at 6:30 pm. >>Read More
PIONEERS EARN ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS
Five Wayland Baptist University Pioneers were named to the Sooner Athletic Conference's 2007 All-Conference volleyball team and another earned SAC All-Tournament team honors during awards ceremonies held over the weekend.
Junior Analicia Estrada was a first team All-Conference selection, while freshman setter Anika Voigt and Audrey Hemminger, a junior middle, captured second team honors. Named to the honorable mention squad were junior hitter Hailey Clark and freshman defensive specialist Vanessa Treat.
Following the tournament on Saturday afternoon, which was won by Lubbock Christian, freshman Desiree Luevano was named to the All-Tournament team. >>Read More
