PIONEER WOMEN FINISH 6TH AT NATIONALS
Kenosha, Wis.---The goal of the Pioneer women's cross country going into Saturday morning's NAIA National Cross Country Championships was to finish in the top 10. Well, mission accomplished. WOMEN'S TEAM LOOKING TO MAKE HISTORY
The weather this fall has been surprisingly mild, and the Wayland Baptist cross country women’s team has taken full advantage. The Pioneer women captured the NAIA Region VI title two weeks ago, and that win along with wins at the Buffalo Stampede to start off the season and at the Mid-States Classic last month, moved the team into 12th place in the final NAIA poll.
According to the latest weather reports, the forecast for Saturday in Kenosha, Wis., site of the NAIA National Cross Country Championships, is high winds with morning snow showers and a high of 45 degrees. >>Read More

The Pioneer women's cross country team won its first-ever NAIA Region VI Championship this morning. Led by freshman Caroline Karunde who won the individual crown in a school record time of 17:34, the Pioneers scored 25 points, easily outdistancing second place Oklahoma Baptist which had 63.
The WBU women had four runners in the top five, including freshman Rosa Galvan in third, Erin Britton in fourth and Kydia Echols in fifth.

WOMEN'S TEAM RANKED 20TH
Following its big win at last weekend's Mid-States Classic, the Pioneer women have entered the NAIA's Top 25 for the first time this season. The women are ranked 20th in this week's poll, while the men slid back one place to 28th. Both teams are off until the NAIA Region VI/Sooner Athletic Conference Championships which will be held Nov. 10 in Shawnee, Okla.
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM WINS
Winfield, Kan.---The Pioneer women's cross country team, rated 29th in last week's NAIA Coaches Poll, won the NAIA Mid-States Classic Saturday, finishing 17 points ahead of second place Mid-America Nazarene University and 70 points in front of Park College, which was ranked 19th in the latest NAIA Coaches Poll.
On the men's side, the Pioneer men, ranked 27th in the latest NAIA poll, completed the race in third place....Read more
