Background/Expertise: BS, USAF Academy; MS, Gonzaga University; MA, California
State University; MSS, Air University; PhD, University of Calgary. Retired AF colonel
with 28+ yrs service and commander 4 times. Department chair at 3 different
institutions, 15 years college teaching experience and professional journal editor for 3
years. Published numerous articles, book reviews, journal volumes and one book. Some graduate study,
Fuller Theological Seminary. Arrival at Wayland—2007.
Academic interest/specialization: military history, leadership and management.
Personal Statement: My life goal is to glorify God in everything I do, which includes
sharing the Gospel of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I love adventure--and God has
richly blessed me with the opportunity to serve at Wayland-Anchorage and to live in one of
the most beautiful and exciting places on earth.
Other Interests/hobbies: skiing, running, climbing, hunting, fly-fishing, sailing, wind-
surfing, mountain biking, painting, playing the violin, Bible study leader.
