ORIENTATION

If this is your first undergraduate term at WBU, you must register and complete the required (no cost) WBU orientation course, ORIE0001 “University Survey”.

After the first day of the term, from our webpage, www.wbu.edu/anchorage, go to the bottom of the page and click on the Blackboard link; then click the “Login” link.

You will use your student ID number, beginning with several zeros, as the “login” username. The first time use “password” is 6 letters-the first three letters of your first name plus the first three letters of your last name, all lower case, no spaces. See example:

Username: 000054321 (fill in your WBU student ID number)
Password: janstu (if your name was Jane Student)

Once logged into Blackboard, you will see that one of your listed classes is “University Survey”. Click on the class name/link, go to the Syllabus, and follow the instructions to complete the survey.

If you are logged into Blackboard and “University Survey” does not come up as one of your enrolled classes after you have registered for it, please contact your advisor or a WBU receptionist at one of our sites.

ORIE0001 “University Survey” includes a test that must be completed by the end of your first term, with a 70% minimum passing score. If you fall short of the 70% score, then you can immediately retake the exam until you pass.

If you do not complete the “University Survey” with a passing score on the exam by the end of your first term at Wayland, you will be placed on a registration hold. You will not be allowed to take future course work until you once again register to re-take ORIE0001 “University Survey”.
