SAFETY AND DISCLOSURE STATEMENT
2. Wayland Classroom and Office Security: On the military installations of Elmendorf Air Force Base and Fort Richardson security is provided by each military installation's security police force. The Security Police (SP) at Elmendorf AFB and the Military Police (MP) at Fort Richardson Army Installation make frequent patrols of parking areas near and around both Education Centers. At the Parkside Campus, Guardian Security does a walk through of the facilities each evening after class and secures the building for the evening. The campus is equipped with fire and security alarms to include motion sensors.
3. Reporting Crime: Staff, faculty, and students are asked to read and familiarize themselves with the following crime reporting agencies and phone numbers. ALL EMERGENCIES should be reported by calling 911.
1. Parkside Campus: During business hours crimes witnessed within WBU facilities must be reported to the WBU administrative staff in person or by phone at 333-2277, 764-1780. On the Parkside Center property, crimes witnessed must be reported to the Anchorage Police Department at 786-8500 or by calling 911 in case of emergency.
2. Military Installations: Crimes witnessed on Elmendorf AFB must be reported to the Base Security Police at 552-3421. Crimes witnessed on Fort Richardson must be reported to the U.S. Army Military Police at 384-0823.
3. Valley Center: During business hours crimes witnessed within WBU facilities must be reported to the Valley Site Coordinator at (907) 373-4828 or by contacting the Wasilla Police Department at or by calling 911 in case of emergency. Non emergency contact for Wasilla is 907-352-5401.
4. Report all emergencies by calling 911.
4. Prohibited Activities on Campus, within Campus facilities and within the confines of all Military Installations:
1. Alcohol and Drugs: Wayland Baptist University prohibits the use of illegal drugs or consumption of alcohol .Wayland forbids the possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs, drug paraphernalia, and alcohol by staff, faculty, and students as part of any activity of the University. Compliance with these standards of conduct for staff, faculty and students is mandatory.
2. Firearms for personal protection or sport are strictly prohibited on and within campus facilities. Absolutely no weapons may be brought by staff, faculty, and students onto any Federal military installation, except by official law enforcement personnel.
5. In compliance with the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of l990, Wayland has compiled and reports the following criminal statistics for the school period of January 1, 2003 to December 31, 2006. Statistics from 2003-2006 are from our former location in the Boniface Center. The Anchorage Campus enrolled 600 students in Fall Term, 2006. All students commute from their homes in or around Anchorage and on or off the military installations of Elmendorf AFB and Fort Richardson. WBU classes are held within the greater Anchorage area, Elmendorf Air Force Base (AFB), and Fort Richardson. There is no student housing provided for Alaska Center students by Wayland Baptist University.

Material promoting safety and security awareness will be periodically distributed. WBU will continue to develop and implement safety and security measures, but these measures will not be successful without your support. Remember no safety or security program can be successful without each individual's personal awareness and prior planning.
