Wayland Alaska Missions

Helping the communities of Alaska while showing God's love

About Wayland Alaska Missions

Beginning in 1985, under the direction of the Alaska Baptist Convention Executive Director, Dr. John Allen, and representatives from Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, Texas, WBU established its first external campus in Alaska in Anchorage. In 1999 a campus location was established in Fairbanks.

Associates, Bachelors and Masters degree programs are offered under the regionally accredited auspices of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.

God's grace and support from local churches, the civilian and military communities in the Anchorage area, WBU staff, faculty, and students from all walks of life have enlarged and expanded the commitment of WBU in Alaska for outreach to fulfill the WBU mission statement.

Under the leadership of Executive Director and Dean, Dr. Eric Ash, and WAM's student president, Matthew Sanders, WAM hopes to continue the commitment to serve in Alaska by providing support to the Galena Missions project.
