AMEY HARTSEL, BSOE’00, who graduated from the Wichita Falls Campus at Sheppard Air Force Base, is currently stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. He is a second lieutenant in the U. S. Air Force and is contract negotiator at Aeronautical Systems Center. As a member of the Reconnaissance Systems Program Office, he purchases different sensors, data links and maintenance on USAF Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance assets. Jamey and wife Julie have two children, Kasey, 11 and Nicole, 3. Since they have been at Wright-Patterson, James has helped the local community build a playground, served as guest speaker for career day at one of the elementary schools, and organized the Wright-Patterson/Fairborn, Ohio, annual Easter Egg Hunt for over 2000 local children. Jody is in the education program for an exercise science degree in preparation for coaching and teaching mathematics. Miranda is pursuing her physical therapy degree. CALVIN HOLMES, BSOE’05, who graduated from the San Antonio Campus, has moved to Lawton, Oklahoma, where he is an instructor with the U. S. Army, stationed at Fort Sill. MICHAEL R. HOLT, BSOE’00, who graduated from the campus in Wichita Falls, lives in Burlington, New Jersey. He is course director for AF IDS LOGMOD Centers for SRA International, Inc. in Fort Dix. He and wife Kimilee, a financial analyst at McGuire Air Force Base, have three sons, Aaron, 14, Kyle, 11, and Alexander, 9. Michael retired from the Air Force on May 1, 2005. He had left his position as test and evaluation director for Aeromedical Evacuation Systems to start up Air Mobility Operations Squadrons, Aeromedical Evacuation Control Team (AECT). Within 45 days of changing jobs he was asked to serve as the Air Operations Flight Superintendent. He also served as the Squadron Superintendent and 1st Sergeant. Michael was deployed to Al Udied AB, Qatar where he worked in the Air Mobility Divisions AE section and managed 157 AE members in 40 different locations in southwest Asia including Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Djibouti and Kyrgyzstan. He directed the tasking and execution of over 300 Aeromedical evacuation movements, transporting over 2,847 patients. He returned to his unit only to be faced with the opportunity to bring his career to a close. He did so by winning 621st AMOS SNCO of the year for 2005, the second year in a row. Michael’s decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Air Force Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Valor Device, Combat Readiness Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Award with six oak leaf clusters, Air Force Expeditionary Medal, National Service Defense Medal with a bronze star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Air Force Oversees Long Tour, Air Force Longevity Ribbon, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border, Air Force NCO Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon, Air Force Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, and the Air Force Training Ribbon. He is a Competent Toastmaster (CTM) with Toastmasters International and serves in leadership roles at Word Of Life Christian Center, New Jersey as a licensed minister. RONALD S. HORTON, BSOE’00, who graduated from the Alaska Campus at Eielson Air Force Base, has been reassigned to Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma. He is a master sergeant serving as engineering superintendent for the 97th Civil Engineer Squadron. Ron is a single dad and is doing a great job raising his two teenage boys. In his spare time, he enjoys Bible study, fellowship and spending time with his family.

KEITH HOUSTON, BSOE’01, who graduated from the San Antonio Campus, is in the U.S. Navy, serving at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. He has been in the Navy for 17 years and looks forward to retirement in three years and plans to move back to San Antonio. Keith and wife Lisa Marie, who is in healthcare promotions, have two children, Keith, Jr., 9 and Korie Allen, 7.
