SELENA ALSPAUGH, BSOE’02 who graduated from the San Antonio Campus, has retired from the U. S. Air Force and is stationed in Aviano, Italy with her husband, MSgt Andrew D. Alspaugh. They have two children, Cherish-Nelliana Darryln, 10 and Iesha Monique, 8. Selena is heavily involved in her church and is overseeing the children’s ministry which includes children’s church and children’s Tuesday night Bible study. She says that it is not a paid position but that she is utilizing a lot of education that she received through her studies at Wayland. Selena is currently pursuing her masters in counseling and psychology through University of Phoenix. Christian love and sympathy to the family and friends of FREDERICK BOOTH, BSOE’00, who graduated from the Clovis Campus.  Fred died on March 23, 2002 from injuries received in an automobile accident in Germany while serving active duty with the U.S. Air Force.  Among his survivors are his wife Deborah and four children who were moving back to the States in June. Leslie has taken a job at Benbrook Christian Fellowship where she is doing marketing, graphics and communication. Bryan and Leslie had been living in Irving and he has been at Casa Youth Shelter with the YMCA doing counseling and directing activities for at-risk youth. Leslie was with Taylor Publishing Company managing new product development and marketing for k-8. They are glad to be near school and in a less stressful environment. NICOLE DOANE BURNETT, BBA ’01, has completed her first year as manager of Golden Age Home Assisted Living facility in Lockhart, Texas, where she and her husband, Warren, owner of Burnett Masonry Construction (www.burnettmasonry.com) have lived for six years. They are active in First Baptist Church and she is a Kiwanian, organizing the club’s first Lockhart Kiwanis 5K Stampede. In June, she completed her second Danskin Women’s Triathlon in less than two hours. Other races she has participated in include The Women’s Adventure Race in Austin, Siren’s Triathlon in San Antonio and numerous 5K runs. KATY BUTLER, BA’06, is living in Nigeria as a missionary journeyman under the auspices of the International Mission Board. Katy arrived in May 2007, completed a few weeks of language classes, and will be there for two years, doing mostly research on the people groups in the bush with a team of several other young ladies.
